The following testimonials are from graduates of the Leader As Coach Fast Track Program:
The Leader As Coach Fast Track Program is "the here and now".
I was initially drawn to the course because of the title covering leadership, coaching and a need for speed. Tom has a great gift for connecting participants to a community of like-minded professionals in search of something better. I was influenced and encouraged to participate each week and learn more about a coaching approach from Tom and others all over the world.
The program really emphasized the relevance for continued learning, education and growth for me personally. I've been in the Organizational Development and Behavior Coaching field for 10 years and I think it's important to continue developing, experiencing, tapping into your potential and staying current with the generations of people you work with. Tom provides a plethora of resources, tips, tools, coaching techniques and a diverse environment for you to strengthen where you are now and where you want to be in the future.
If you're looking for an edge in your life, a lift, or personal inspiration, and are ready to play 'full out' with Tom and his team now, or in the future, the Leader As Coach Fast Track Program is your gift. When I bought this gift for myself, I didn't realize how BIG it was going to be. It's like a present you can unwrap every day and find value from it.
I'm delighted to be connected with Tom and the International Association of Teamwork Facilitators.

I heartily recommend the Leader as Coach Fast Track Program led by Tom Heck. Tom is a modern-day sage and seeker. He draws deeply from his vast knowledge of teams, leadership and coaching, sharing key insights and personal life stories to illustrate his key learning points. He also has a voracious appetite for discovering and sharing what is cutting edge, relevant and directly applicable to the topic at hand. Every week, Tom either interviewed live or presented mp3s of previous interviews with authors and gurus in their field. This helped keep the relevance and my interest high. Every week contained highly relevant pre-work, homework such as inventories and reading resource articles and websites that turned my head around in some way. Many of these resources have already found their way into my teaching, supervision and coaching.
Over these seven weeks, I have grown and expanded, personally and professionally. The program requires true commitment and hard work – and is so well worth it! I have interacted with people from at least eight countries on several continents in small breakout sessions to discuss topics at hand, personal goals and successes and challenges. We have laughed and commiserated, coached and learned from each other. I could not have anticipated how powerful an effect the entire program has had. Sincere and heartfelt thanks, Tom.

Several years ago I decided to move from the independent practice of clinical psychology to working in corporate America as a leadership consultant and trainer. I quickly learned how little many leaders know about effectively coaching their employees. Coaching employees is a critically important role for managers and can be tied to the success of individuals, teams, work groups, and organizations. In fact, Jack Welch has said, “People who are coaches will be the norm. Other people won’t get promoted.” Despite being a psychologist who held many management/leadership positions, I also realize how little I knew about effectively and efficiently coaching employees.
I wish that Tom’s outstanding Leader as Coach Fast Track Program had been available when I was in management! This program covers all the bases needed to move managers to the coach approach. The combination of weekly teleconferences on topics related to coaching as well as a second session that focuses on practicing coaching skills is a fantastic combination. Additionally, Tom invites nationally and internationally known experts who provide “bonus” sessions on topics relevant to not only coaching but also employee development. The program also includes a “member only” website in which participants can post questions and interact virtually with other members of the Leader as Coach group. I also found the wealth of downloadable information to be yet another added value of this training. As if all of this is not enough, Tom provides participants to links to other recorded seminars that he has conducted so that participants can both download (or listen) to the mp3 files and have access to the handouts used in these seminars.
Considering the cost of leadership and coaching training, this program is worth its weight in gold (or crude oil!). While designed to teach managers and supervisors to become effective leaders using a coach-approach, the program has the advantage of encouraging participants to look deeply at themselves in the process. For me, this meant being more focused on controlling what I can (my own thinking, feeling, and behavior). The increased self-awareness and self-management skills I learned and practiced greatly benefited me and it has improved how I interact with those I serve.

When it comes to leadership training, there are times we hesitate based on the "heard it, tried it, done that" philosophy. That was not the case with this program.
The opportunities and resources in this course opened me up to many possibilities and options. Resource libraries, networking connections, and even an assigned study partner has provided me with so many upgrades to my toolkit.
This course takes a commitment for sure, and the homework must be given a priority to get the full advantage. With that said, it is definitely worth the time.
The experiences of the attendees created a diverse and safe TeleSeminar environment, no matter what your level, position, or background. I would definitely recommend this course.
Thank you Tom for offering this.

When I started the Leader as Coach Fast Track Program, I thought I already had a good foundation as far as coaching and managing goes. After all, I was already a certified life coach and had been in human resource management managing people for over twenty years. But I learned quickly I certainly didn’t know it all. Tom has a full toolkit and a knack for getting to the heart of the matter. Through this class, with practice, I have raised my awareness and learned new ways of being with people. I liked the format of group calls twice a week in addition to many guest speakers for optional participation. There were people in our group from other parts of the world! Through various exercises, assessments and group coaching, I have grown tremendously. If you’re ready to go to the next level, both professionally and personally, get yourself signed up and play 100%!! Allow yourself to grow from good to great!

The Leader As Coach Fast Track Program has several desirable aspects. The course is having a “tree” effect in my life. The initial elements of the course are aimed at strengthening your core, rooted in individual values. The course then branches out to cover the finer aspects of the coaching of teams and individuals. All along this growth cycle, Tom drops seeds of information for future growth: introspective handouts and introductions to other speakers and their works. The tele-course format allows the enrollment of students from all corners of the globe, making the student-provided examples and ensuing interactive discussions rich and enlightening. I believe that the Leader As Coach Fast Track Program is providing me the foundation for life long learning both as a manager and an individual.

The Leader As Coach Fast Track Program totally supports the shifts I am making in my personal and professional life by providing me with resources and connection to people across the world. Together and individually we practice the tools and dynamics to enhance ourselves and our coaching styles. I appreciate the connections made between personal and professional by establishing and honoring personal foundations, positive behaviors and self-management…all of which encourage living in harmony and maintaining an overall healthier me. Professionally I am better prepared and more confident in regards to managing projects, responding with effectiveness toward solutions, and exceeding goals. This program is different than any other leadership development course I’ve taken because of the real time coaching opportunities and the relationships built through conference calls and progress reports. I am recommending this program to all of my coworkers and colleagues that are committed to bettering their management and leadership styles.

I’ve just completed the Leader as Coach Fast Track program with the IATF. I enrolled looking to increase my facilitation and coaching skills. What I found was tools to increase those as well as an approach that made me look at my own personal effectiveness. Facilitators understand that you can’t help others without helping yourself so the bonus in this course is the self learning in addition to the skills. I found the ability to contribute to the sessions and listen to others through the conference technology first class. Well done Tom for creating a forum that teaches skills, enables self reflection and growth and somehow, even with 10,000 miles between us, allows you to feel a part of something big.

My initial interest in the IATF Leader As Coach program was to add additional tools to my practice as a Coach & Trainer. What I found, however, were additional tools to apply to myself. In every module, I found thoughtful concepts and processes, which invoked a deeper reflection of who I am as a leader in my business and in society as a whole. The overall structure and established parameters offered a systematic, yet flexible platform to challenge myself as a leader.
I always say, "Leadership begins with the 1st follower in the mirror", and this program offered a venue where one definitely examines their relationship with that 1st follower. Leadership is an evolving mindset and presence in organizational and social change. Effective leaders transcend traditional paradigms, assuming a more 360-degree view of their roles in this process. The Leader As Coach program, in my view, is the genesis to this mindset.

The Leader As Coach Fast Track Program came at the perfect time in my life. I was really having some difficulty dealing with the normal, everyday strife during the workday and home. My participation in this program provided great insight into my attitude, my style and the influence my team and my family have with me. This program has allowed me to develop and build a great toolbox with tools and techniques I will use for the rest of my life, on and off the job. The commonality of issues that each of us has in the class really hit home, in spite of the diversity of the team members, it really opened my eyes to human nature and problems that we each face.
The exercises and homework really focus on self-examination and self-improvement; they directed us to examine our approach, beliefs and style to life. I have a greater understanding that relationships and communication are two of the most important behaviors we deal with in life. Through identification and focus of my values and establishing my personal boundaries to a greater degree, my life has become less chaotic and stressful. My life and relationships have become richer, much more enjoyable and successful. I see a different reaction from my team members and family members as I have begun to alter my style of approach. The value of this program for me has been priceless. I recommend this program to anyone interested in improving the quality of his or her life. In my opinion the principles, discussions and exercises all provide the knowledge and skills needed for enhancing your life and those you encounter. Thank you Tom, I will use your teachings throughout the rest of my career and life.

The Leader As Coach Fast Track Program has helped solidify that being a “Coach Leader” is the way of the future. The program is developed in such a way that no matter what stage in your career or life you are at as long as you are looking to better your self as a person and/or leader you will have clarity and direction upon completion.
The passion and commitment that Tom puts forward to the program and to each individual is amazing. The environment that Tom creates on the calls as well as with the website is phenomenal. I know I have felt very relaxed and comfortable in being able to contribute my thoughts and feelings and I have received great feedback and support from Tom and the class.
The diversity of the people (geographical, industry, roles and responsibilities of individuals) attending the class is great. A lot of times people attend seminars or programs based on their specific industry or role. The Leader As Coach Fast Track Program has knocked down those barriers and it has been great to hear and receive information/feedback from a vast group of individuals from around the world and different industries.
The discussions, exercises and information provided set the path for you to become a great coach.
Most important is I have felt that Tom is in this for the class and my self.

Having the opportunity to attend the Leader As Coach Fast Track Program has come at the perfect time for me. I’ve made a quantum leap both personally and professionally as a result. And others have noticed without me even telling them!
The program is a perfect blend of all that’s needed for leaders to move to the coach approach. The weekly teleconferences with coaching themes each followed a couple of days later by a group coaching session to practice the learning is a winning combination. In addition to this, Tom has brought in some amazing guest speakers to deliver bonus sessions on a range of topics related to coaching and employee development. To add still more value, there’s a wealth of resources available in the ‘members only’ website to help us develop and grow, not to mention the members’ forum for posting questions, discussing issues and enjoying the collective wisdom of the group.
A very special aspect of the Leader As Coach Fast Track Program is Tom’s pure passion and enthusiasm coupled with his dedication to the success of each and every participant. He is a brilliant cheerleader and tirelessly encourages participants to take a hands on approach and embed their learning into all aspects of their lives.
If you would like to fast track your personal and professional development I’d say sign up right now and play to win!

I have been wholly impressed with the material covered in the Leader As Coach Fast Track Program presented by Tom Heck of the International Association of Teamwork Facilitators. I am an experienced coach and thought this would be interesting and add to my knowledge base. As with most trainings I attend I thought maybe I could pick up one useful idea and that would be worth the time and expense involved. I was richly rewarded by the amount of useful information that I received weekly. It wasn’t just one idea but many each week.
As a Corporate Trainer, Licensed Professional Counselor, and Executive Coach I am able to put these ideas to work right away in the lives of those I serve and even more amazing is how I am able to put these concepts to work in my own life and just in general conversations throughout the course of my day.
I really enjoy the weekly leadership TeleClasses but the weekly Group Coaching Call and special guest speaker sections are absolutely incredible. We have been blessed by having some of the best and brightest share their information with us and Tom has many more resources than weeks, so this will continue to be a dynamic portion of the course that could cost you hundreds of dollars but is included in the Leader As Coach Fast Track Program for free. Kudos Tom!
If you would like to have an experienced coach and an entire culture of like minded people supporting you and holding you accountable for your progress and output I would strongly recommend signing up for this course right now. It’ll be one of the best investments you’ve ever made in yourself.

The Leader As Coach Fast Track Program is the most productive learning experience I have ever enjoyed. This program covers so much that it enriches my life both personally and professionally. My co-workers have noticed a change in the way I manage the business. They see me more aware of their actions, they see me taking charge in a pleasant way. Because of the work I'm doing in this program, I've learned to look at myself in a new way and I feel more in control of my life and business.
The weekly group coaching session helped me handle a delicate situation in my business with professionalism. This course is for anyone who works with others. Certainly leaders will benefit, but those who will face a leadership position in the future should all take this approach.
I wish I had been able to know the information we are learning now years ago. The tools for successful leadership are all here.

The Leader As Coach Fast Track Program has helped me in many ways as a new Wellness Director for the YMCA in Western North Carolina.
The weekly progress notes have helped me look internally regarding what I have accomplished weekly in order to be reminded about the impact I am making in the Association each week, but also to note the areas that I need help with in order to get constructive feedback from both the head program coach and from my study partner; to me, this served as positive reinforcement as well as constructive feedback that will help my professional growth.
I have also been able to connect professionally with my study partner during our weekly one on one phone meetings which has helped me come to different realizations that will help my career due to our open, non biased conversations about our challenges we are facing at work. I also had the opportunity to provide constructive feedback to my study partner which will help her at her job as well.
There is a time commitment with this program and the investments that I have been able to make has paid off. The more you invest, the more you get out of it. It may not be possible to invest 100% in all of the resources available (there's so much), but it's important to invest as much as possible during the duration of the program in order for you to reap the benefits in your career.

When I saw the words "Leader As Coach Fast Track Program" on IATFconnect.com website, I signed up for the course, realizing this was the direction in leadership I wanted to take. I had been struggling with an undercurrent amongst my staff, causing a vague sense of resentment. The problems were affecting my confidence and I was unsure about how to move forward to create a cohesive team. The Manager As Coach Boot Camp provided the answer.
Because the learning is spread out over the course of 10 weeks, I had the time I needed to learn the material, apply what I was learning, receive regular feedback and ultimately improve my leadership skills.
During the course I took advantage of the one-on-one “laser” coaching sessions with head coach Tom Heck. With pinpoint precision, Tom was able to recognize the symptoms of the problem I was having with a difficult team member. Together, we worked to define possible solutions. He was able to frame his coaching in terms that made sense to me because of my participation in the program. When we finished the laser coaching session, I sat stunned for a few minutes. We had covered so much in such a short amount of time! Later, Tom provided accountability for me to take specific steps toward a solution.
The resources Tom made available will keep me growing for a long time to come, all without having to take days off and pay travel expenses for training!
This course will change the manner in which you do business, both at home and at work! It helped me take a quantum leap in my growth as a leader and it will do the same for you.

I have just completed the 4-week Level-1 Leader As Coach Fast Track Program with Tom Heck and several others from across the world. When I registered for the course, I had no idea what to expect but what I did know is I needed something to inspire me and get me back on track with my professional career. Through the weekly phone calls, groups discussions, homework (not too much), audio seminars, and laser coaching sessions; I ended the course ready to tackle my next career steps. The course helped me focus on my personal life as well....I have direction, inspiration and gained confidence.
Tom's personal approach is what kept me interested and focused. He sincerely cares about each individual and involves everyone with ease. Tom is a walking resource of the current and most effective tools to use today as a coach, leader, facilitator, manager or teacher. He shares many stories from his personal journey that reinforce the content of the course or the topic of the day. I have a great respect for his experience, knowledge and passion to teach others.
I've been to many seminars where I've been sitting and learning--I can't think of any that have kept my attention and interest like the Leader As Coach Fast Track Program.

The Leader As Coach Fast Track Program came at the perfect time in my life. I have worked in the leadership training industry for 8 years and, I am a certified coach. In a very short amount of time (One month) I walked away with a TON of resources. Tom’s knowledge and understanding of working with people and teams is wonderful. The value of what I received is way beyond the cost of this class. From the information he gives, recordings we listen to with people he has interviewed like Jack Canfield, to the one-on-one coaching he provides. ALL of us will benefit from experiencing working with Tom Heck in the Leader As Coach Fast Track Program.
Thank you Tom.

My participation in the 4-week level-1 Leader As Coach Fast Track Program has paved a path for unique opportunities in my personal and professional life.
I deal with variety of situations at work and its different every day. My job demands me to be a leader, trainer, follower, supervisor, role model and more. Past few years, the department I work for was under serious scrutiny and it was doubtful whether it would exist so long. This uncertain environment put an enormous stress on my professional and personal life. This situation demanded me to perform above and beyond for many years. Due to this, I did develop some traditional habits which were causing me to work harder, harder, harder and harder to keep this alive.
The Leader As Coach Fast Track Program was a new lifeline for me. During the 4 weeks of the Level 1 course, I had an opportunity to practice, identify and believe that "life is not just what it is now or what it was in the past. It can be changed with smart practices". I would like to share some of the areas I've used smart practices…
-- Rediscover my original effectiveness while going through some of the exercises that Tom had put together for us during this workshop.
-- Help myself balance professional and personal life needs by implementing E+R=O (Even + Response = Outcome). This has become my mantra now and every time I respond to anything, I know I'm completely responsible for the outcomes.
-- Help me shift from traditional leadership habits to a more effective "Coach Approach". This is providing me much peace, calm and clarity. It's a WIN-WIN combination.
-- Outward Bound is a people based organization. I choose a key project to implement some of the coaching strategies with my potential clients, course directors, and instructors. During this process, involving colleagues in our department and engaging them with many wonderful resources provided by Tom was terrific experience. This helped me to show others that I'm not stuck with traditional ways of doing things. I'm open to feedback and innovative strategies which can lead our team to positive growth and in recruiting clients.
-- On daily basis, I'm using these statements 'one thing at a time', '100% responsibility for my own actions' and more, is proving very useful and effective.
In a nutshell, the valuable tools, resources and guidance I received during this workshop from Tom and other participants is a nice foundation and great blessing for my work with NYC Outward Bound and my personal life. Thank you Tom.

Tom,
I had the most amazing conversation with my supervisor this afternoon! Wow! At the beginning of this course, I sat down with the values information, and thought really hard about who I am and what I want. I was struggling to deal with my supervisor, and I came to the stunning realization that this material was going to hit him so hard, that he would either begin to deal with whatever issues were making him treat some of us the way he has been, or he would decide this is not the place for him. I was leaning toward the latter. I could not see my way past the conflict.
You helped me firm up my boundaries and speak not only to my supervisor, but people in general in a healthier way in the first week of this course, and I have seen the results in many aspects of my life. Over the next couple of weeks, I saw my boss admit he was wrong about something and even have a conversation that was not based on an argument for or against something.
Today, I spoke with him about some software questions I had, and he actually was using your coaching questions on me! You cannot imagine how it felt that he was actually making an attempt to help resolve the issue instead of trying to place blame. He may have read my class notes, which were fairly blunt, however, I suspect he has been working with you and/or your material quite faithfully. Changes like this go soul deep and do not happen overnight.
Yesterday, we discussed some course material quite frankly. I am thrilled that this course has helped me to see myself in a better light, but also, though I never expected it, I see others responding to it as well. We are able to connect as human beings instead of robots.
I am hoping that time and finances will work out for me in April. I want more than you know to continue with the course as it has proven invaluable.
Thank you so very much.

To Whom It May Concern:
I am pleased to share with you a recent personal/professional growth experience.
When I received the invitation to join the Leader As Coach Fast Track Program, I was intrigued to say the least. Being a manager in the non-profit world has its good share of challenges. I was amazed as to the accuracy in which the course outline addressed the areas of management presenting me with the greatest difficulty.
I approached the course with the intention of giving all I got and it has been a truly life altering experience.
While I used to dread difficult communication and uncomfortable confrontation, I now look forward to these growth opportunities. The pre Leader As Coach me, had the greatest difficulty handing off tasks, for fear of them not being completed as only I know how. After this course, I seek for ways to empower and support the people working under me.
While there is only so much one can learn in the four week Level 1 course, this course has you implementing what you learn from day one. It is all about practical application.
As a graduate of the Leader As Coach Fast Track Program, I am enriched, charged and I know there is a tremendous amount out there, yet to be learned. As I stand today, my thinking is different. My approach to problem solving is different. My leadership skills have been upgraded. My listening, understanding and sharing skills have taken on new definition.
What head coach Tom Heck teaches has the ability to reshape the culture of the workplace. During the course we actually followed one member of the group as he remarkably implemented what we were learning in his workplace and the fascinating results it brought about.
The Leader As Coach Fast Track Program gives leaders the edge they need. This course is opening the doors for global change, one manager at a time.

From an Executive Director with Boys & Girls Clubs...
Are you looking for leadership development opportunities that will build immediate capacity in your key staff?
Recently, my key staff have participated in a phenomenal new leadership development program called the Leader As Coach Fast Track Program. This program is unlike anything I have ever seen and I encourage you to look into it.
I’m used to sending my key staff to training events that require time off of work, travel (airfare), lodging (hotel expense), and meals. Not only is this expensive (time and money) but the long term impact of most training events I’ve sent my staff to over the years are questionable. Not so with this program.
The Leader As Coach Fast Track Program is different. My staff participate in weekly telephone conference calls, complete homework, collaborate with a study partner (who may live hundreds of miles away), receive one-on-one leadership coaching, and have access to a growing community of program graduates from around the world.
Because of this program, my staff are showing up differently. They take more responsibility, have more self-confidence, make sharper decisions, establish and build trust with greater ease, and show greater satisfaction in their job.
Too many of us in the non-profit arena settle for sub-par training and development because of financial issues. This program represents a huge cost savings when compared to traditional “stand in front of the room” training events. And best of all, the Leader As Coach Fast Track Program creates the kind of shifts I want to see in my staff and in the culture of our organization.
I encourage you to sign up as many of your staff members as possible. The benefits will be experienced throughout your organization.

I participated in the Fall 2010 session of the Leader As Coach Fast Track Program. I met so many smart, nice, and helpful people through the program and learned a great deal about myself.
Through the program, I learned what it means to lead with a "coach approach" and am excited to continue on this leadership journey.
The course helped me realize I am a coach, by nature. Now I get to learn best practices in order to successfully bring my gift to others, both at work and in my personal life.
The Leader as Coach Program has shown me that I will be able to teach managers to work better with their staff which will ultimately trickle down to the people we support.
Thank you, Tom.

There are many great aspects of the Leader As Coach Fast Track program. Aside from the content, which gives you some great ideas for personal leadership growth, another benefit is being in the forum itself. One of the greatest challenges for individuals within groups is to listen and really hear what another person is saying. Tom models this process, in real time most excellently. Not only does he give each person an opportunity to contribute their insights, he is infectiously positive and reflects back to the group what he has heard, and how those ideas are relevant to the points he is sharing with the group. I gained a lot in this seminar and although I could not be present for every session, consider the time investment very worthwhile.

I recently participated in the Leadership As Coach Fast Track Program led by Tom Heck IATF. Tom is a very sharing, energetic, passionate facilitator and coach. He ran the program very professionally with clear objectives and expectations from the start. I learned a lot through his generosity and understanding. Travel requirements and my agenda didn't always permit me to join the calls, but I knew that the recordings were available through out the entire program, Tom answered every email and question I sent his way. I could not have asked for so much dedication. Sincere thanks, Tom
