How To Strengthen Relationships on Teams Using Visual Images with Christine Martell -- Leadership TeleSeminar Recording

Nobel-laureate scientists. Award-winning filmmakers. World-champion athletes. These are people that change the world. They operate with peak performance. And they all have something else in common.

They think not just in words, but in images.

Whether it’s imagining a new vaccine in the lab, a blockbuster at the studio, or a perfect shot on the court, these amazing people bring both the verbal and the visual together.

By using images to go beyond words alone, visual images can be used to help improve performance, resolve conflict, and achieve results.

VisualsSpeak trains facilitators in the use of tools using images to drive discussion, insight, and transformation.

Christine_martell_1 Christine Martell is principal of VisualsSpeak, and she will be our guest for this special IATF Train-The-Trainer TeleSeminar.

This TeleSeminar will focus on strategies for building relationships in teams using visual images.

Christine will share a special series of images (digital download) with all who participate in this call.  You'll be able to use these same images with the groups you serve.

Topics we'll be covering include:

  • Overview of ways you can use images in team building
  • When and why to use images
  • Experience of using visuals to build relationships in teams

Christine Martell has been facilitating with a variety of organizations worldwide for 25 years. Her work integrating visuals with traditional corporate performance improvement methods has brought her global recognition. Her work at VisualsSpeak is focused on developing fun, experiential, transformational tools for team building, leadership development, and strategic visioning.

How To Build & Lead Inspired Teams with Dr. Lance Secretan -- Leadership TeleSeminar Recording

FACT:  Inspired teams have a stronger bottom line than "average" teams.

No surprises there.

But HOW do you build and lead inspired teams?

This question is best answered by inspiration in the workplace expert Dr. Lance Secretan who is the author of the new best seller "The Spark, The Flame, and the Torch"

Lance_secretan_2 Dr. Secretan's much anticipated new book is broad, effective and extraordinarily inspiring. The Spark, The Flame, and the Torch  is Dr. Secretan's masterwork in which he has taken 35 years of intellectual property—which he calls Higher Ground Leadership—developed through his research, client engagements, coaching and teaching experience, and integrated it into a unified theory of inspired leadership, that offers a comprehensive approach to being an inspiring person and therefore an inspiring leader.

You will learn how to be a transformational leader and how to be the change the world needs for a brighter future. It is a brilliant work that helps leaders:

  • rethink the role of modern organizations
  • reassess our personal contribution
  • develop greater meaning and fulfillment
  • overhaul performance management and coaching practice
  • become clearer about future visioning
  • build stronger personal relationships and teams
  • rethink leadership, and
  • focus on inspiration

Torch_book_icon We all long for greater authenticity, integrity, and inspiration from our corporations and institutions. The Spark, the Flame, and the Torch reveals a leadership path that will forever change your perception of yourself, others, your organization and the world around you—enabling you to live a more effective, purposeful, and inspiring life.

4th Graders Become Leaders

Brian Wilson of Adventure Teamworks, LLC in Charleston, SC just finished delivering a powerful series of leadership development programs for 4th, 5th, and 6th grade inner-city students.  Brian reports that the 4th grade students were quick to embrace the curriculum and immediately started using their newly acquired leadership skills for the betterment of the school. Read more HERE.

Accountability Value Credos

Karen Valencic of Spiral Impact led an extremely popular TeleSeminar for the IATF community entitled "How To Use Conflict Creatively In Teams".  Karen has growing requests this year to create ‘group accountability value credos.’  Karen has had the opportunity to work with several large groups (100+) and take them through a large group process to create a short series of questions they can hold each other accountable to.

Movies Make Training Fun

Theresa Gran is a mover and shaker in the Training, Development, and Performance Reporting division at Assurant and is a graduate of the IATF Leader As Coach Fast Track Program.  During the course, Theresa became inspired by the videos we shared through SimpleTruths.com.  Starting this month (June) Theresa is facilitating a "Friday Film Fest".  It's a fun way to bring the week to a positive ending.  Assurant team members are invited to watch a SimpleTruth DVD over lunch together and are provided with a "reflections handout" to carry the lesson with them.  To keep it fun, Theresa shows a short, relavant preview cartoon (and popcorn is provided!).  A new movie is featured each month.  Email Theresa for details.

EDGE-y Training

Susan Johnson is the Center Manager of The EDGE, the new hands-on team and organizational learning center at George Mason University near Washington, DC.  The EDGE features a state of the art Alpine Tower high ropes course.

Top Leadership Blog

Mike Cardus at Create Learning has a leadership blog that was recently rated as one of the best in the world!  It's should come as no surprise.  Mike is always sharing great ideas  blog shares great team and leadership resources.
